All Sensex shares sat deep in pink, besides M&M, Asian Paints, Ultratech and HUL. Amongst losers, Maruti, RIL, Kotak Financial institution, JSW Metal, bharti Airtel and Energy Grid misplaced 0.8-1 per cent.
Eicher Motors, ONGC and Hindalco had been the highest Nifty losers.
The BSE MidCap index was down 0.3 per cent, however the SmallCap index held positive factors of 0.17 per cent.
