The Nobel Prize recipients are being introduced this week, shining a highlight on a number of the world’s most distinguished thinkers and innovators. The awards, most of which date again to 1901, are meant to go to those that “have conferred the best profit to humankind,” founder Alfred Nobel wrote in his will. Previous recipients embrace the likes of Albert Einstein, Marie Curie and Martin Luther King Jr.
